  • Hey Nika,
I haven't seen you post in a while, but I love your blog, so I'm passing this Nice Matters Award to you :)
The full wording is on my site.

  • Melissa: you are such a sweetheart! Thanks millions for the award, its too much.

I know I have been out of touch here. I have been writing so much over at my two other blogs, its been hard to keep up here too. So sorry about that!

  • What an amazing dragon. My son loves to draw dragons. One of the things that he wanted for his birthday was a book on drawing dragons.

  • Nika,

As you know, we live in Michigan - "State of Most Crappiest Schools". Two of mine are in Montessori school (that may change because the school is not very Montessori), I've had to enroll my son in parochial school for 7th grade and once my kids enter high school, it looks like I'll be homeschooling. There's just no way I can allow my kids into public school here. They'll fall through the cracks.

I hope you're still on the 'net when I begin teaching them. It should be interesting considering the fact that I'm not teacher material.

This is one aspect of having children that I'd forgotten about before I had them; crummy schools and the fact that I went to wonderful schools that are now at the bottom for MEAP scores.

  • Summer Fae: awesome! dragons are excellent because there are so many types to draw and then so many things to add from your imagination!

  • Linda: Thanks for visiting! I am betting that there are plenty of other states in contention for that honor!

Your situation sounds like ours 100%, esp re: the HS. You definitely solve the "crack" problem by homeschooling :-)

I will definitely be here. I have had to go back to work full time so its been hard to keep up with all my blogs !

Please let me know if you have any questions or just want to talk :-)

  • I'm impressed with the dragon drawings, those are absolutely wonderful! I hadn't thought of posting my children's artwork to my blog...sounds stupid, but I seriously hadn't thought of it. Perhaps I will...
